Anteriormente fue Profesor Titular de Pensamiento Social y Político en la Universidad de Loughborough en Inglaterra y actualmente Sus libros incluyen A Social Theory of The Nation-State (Routledge, 2007), Nacionalismo y Cosmopolitismo (UDP 2010), Debating Humanity.
